    We went through some hard times last year and with the start of the 2007 Tax Year comes a mix of emotions.  Robert has recovered from his accident to the point that he will be doing taxes this year.  We know that there is a rumor going aroung that he has quit, but I can asure you that Robert is ready to go. 

     Now, on a very sad note.  For the ones that do not know Robert's wife, Kim, past away in mid-September from brest cancer.  Kim will be deeply missed not only by Robert, but by all that knew her.  To all of our customers we appreciate your kind thoughts and prayers during this difficult time for Robert.  Please be considerate of Robert when you call to make an appointment or when you visit this year.  These are still difficult times for us all.

     On an up note, we have two new workers this year to help us with the back log of returnes during the "peak" filing time.  We would like to welcome Ms. Beth Darnell and Mrs. Amanda Mathis.  They have both been trained and certified personnally by Robert.

     Now, on to the Tax News.  Congress has finally pasted the "Alternative Minimum Tax" bill.  At frist it looked like the Federal Government would delay the start of the tax filing date, but since they have finally agreed on the bill everything will start on time this year.  Also, The State of Alabama has made the first major changes to the Alabama State Return in 30 years this year.  This may not mean a lot to the taxpayer, but will affect us.  Don't worry, we will be ready with all the federal and state updates on time.
